Foundling Recovery is an independent locator service — not a government agency. Searching and claiming through official portals (Alberta Treasury, MissingMoney, Bank of Canada, BC Unclaimed) is always free. We offer optional help filing legitimate claims when you authorize us in writing.

How it works

Step 1

We locate a match

Our pipeline searches public unclaimed-property registries for names and references that may belong to you.

Step 2

You authorize us

We send a simple written finder-fee agreement. You can decline, cancel before filing, or claim on your own for free.

Step 3

Official claim only

We assist with the official government or holder claim process — never shortcuts, never fake agencies.

Step 4

Fee on success

Locator fee is 10% of what you actually receive, capped per provincial rules (e.g. Alberta UP-3). If nothing is recovered, you owe nothing.

Received a letter or email from us?

Reply YES to the message you received and we will send the agreement and a province-specific claim checklist. If you did not request contact, ignore the message — we do not charge upfront and you are never obligated to use our service.

No upfront payment. Government or holder pays you directly. After a successful recovery, the locator fee is collected via secure card checkout before your claim completion package is released — we never hold your recovery check.
